White House to be turned into Premier Inn

The White house has been purchased by the Premier Inn group and over the next twelve months will be converted into a motel, health spa, golf resort and restaurant.

“The White House is conveniently situated in a lively and attractive part of Washington DC,” a spokesperson from Premier Inns told the Daily Chronicle, “Which makes it an excellent location for one of our hotels.”

The White House was previously the official home and workplace of the President of the United States, located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. It has been the residence of every president since John Adams in 1800, and Donald Trump is the first president to put the building up for sale.

The residence was designed by Irish-born architect James Hoban in the Neoclassical style. Construction took place between 1792 and 1800 using Aquia Creek sandstone.

The president is thought to be relocating his administration to Miami, Florida.
